Brass blend is a Nigerian Light Crude Oil, otherwise known as “Brass River”, and with 0.14% sulphur content. Other detailed information of the Brass Blend is not available at the time of creating this presentation.

ESCRAVOS LIGHT:

Escravos Light is also a Nigerian Light Crude Oil with API gravity of 34.2° and 0.17% sulphur content.

The Escravos Light Crude Oil is named after the Escravos River in southern Nigeria. "Escravos" is a Portuguese word meaning "slaves" and the area was one of the main conduits for slave trade between Nigeria and the USA in the 18th century. The Escravos is a distributary of the Niger River; it flows for 57 kilometers, ending at the Bight of Benin of the Gulf of Guinea where it flows into the Atlantic Ocean. Chevron, a major US oil company, has its main Nigerian oil production facility located at the mouth of the Escravos River. This oil terminal pumps approximately 460,000 bbl/d (73, 000m3/d).

FORCADOS BLEND:

Forcados blend is another Nigerian Light Crude Oil with API gravity of 30.8° and 0.16% sulphur content.

Forcados is a small town in Burutu LGA of Delta State in Nigeria. It is most noted for the Forcados River which is a major navigable channel of the Niger Delta, southern Nigeria. It is about 20 miles (32 km) downstream from Aboh and flows through zones of freshwater swamps, mangrove swamps, and coastal sand ridges before completing its 123 miles (198km) course to the Bight of Benin.

PENNINGTON LIGHT:

Pennington crude oil is produced in Nigeria, with API gravity of 35.42° and 0.10% sulphur content. It is loaded from the Chevron-operated Pennington Terminal, which can accommodate Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) loading. The typical cargo size is 950 thousand barrels but alternate cargo sizes can be arranged with advance planning.

QUA-IBOE LIGHT:

Qua-Iboe crude oil is a Nigerian Light Crude Oil with API gravity of 36.3° and 0.14% sulphur content; and is produced from numerous offshore fields in the Bight of south-eastern Nigeria, east of the Oso field.

The crude, from fields, 20 to 40 miles offshore from Nigeria's South Eastern region, are brought to shore via a seabed pipeline system to the Qua-Iboe terminal (QIT).

Production currently averages 400, 000 bbl per day. Exxon Mobil, as field operator, holds 40% interest in the field production, with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) having the remaining 60%.

UKPOKITI LIGHT:

This is a Nigerian Light Crude Oil with API gravity of 41.7° and 0.08% sulphur content The Ukpokiti oil field is on OML 108 in shallow water Nigeria.

The field produces oil from water depths of 27 m, with production delivered to a leased FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading).

Production from Ukpokiti at that time was around 1, 900 bbls per day.

The first phase redevelopment plan involved re-activation of a shut-in development well that increased production to around 5, 000 bbls per day
